Totem Poles – Colonial Day

I wanted to send a quick reminder that our totem poles are due tomorrow.  Thanks to all the students who have already brought them in!

Colonial Time in 3rd Grade

Wednesday, November 14th, will be quite an exciting day for our kiddos! Students will be learning about Colonial Life and will have a “Colonial Day” on Wednesday. All 3rd grade students will rotate into our 5 classrooms where they will participate in a Colonial Activity. We are very excited about the chance to make history come alive and show our students how life was back then!!

Your child will be learning about life in New England (past and present), Political Parties from the past, Native Americans, and Colonists… just to name a few. Some of Wednesday’s activities will include writing with feathered quills, weaving mats, and reenacting life of the colonists.

Thank you for your continued support. Third grade wouldn’t be the same without you!

If you have old buttons, my rotation will can use them to create a colonial time toy.  Thanks in advance for any and all donations. 🙂
