Hi parents! I hope everyone had a great weekend. The last few weeks, our class has experienced a lot of absences. Additionally, we’ve had four or more students tardy each day for the past five school days .
I understand when students are ill. I understand that situations arise when students need to miss school. Know that the work we’re currently completing is the bedrock for this third grade year. Students who have had multiple absences are at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to comprehending and mastering content. We’ve had at least two students absent for the past 7 days as well, and had five absent on multiple days. Attendance makes a difference in student performance. Please endeavor to get your students to school so they have the best opportunity to succeed.
Also, if you are anticipating a student will be out, please shoot me a remind, message, or email so that I can have them take an assessment or complete or more complex portion of an assignment with them before they are out of the classroom.
