Curriculum
This week, students will continue to explore volume, and specifically how it relates to rectangular prisms and irregular shapes. By the end of the unit, students will be able to find the volume of multiple irregular shapes, and then add them together to get a total volume for the entire shape. In science, we’ve started drafting a scientific evidenced based response about jaguars in a their ecoysystems.
Students are completing daily check-ins to assess how their progressing within our unit. Please ask them how they’re progressing. We are in unit 11 of the enVisions workbook, if your student needs additional practice. I’ve linked a video below that also explains how we find these volumes, step by step.
