Announcements
Please make sure to check your student’s Friday Folder. There were three items sent home on Friday, including our SBAC testing schedule and communication from Ms. Baker regarding testing (these are also linked below. Additionally, our Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader announcement came home. Currently, we have a very small number of RSVPs for that event on Wednesday. You can RSVP here: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. If that number stays low, we’ll likely cancel the event. I will make sure to Dojo and send a message via Infinite Campus if we determine we need to cancel.

Curriculum
On Monday, students will take their Summative Conversions Assessment. On Tuesday, we’ll start our penultimate unit on interpreting data. Our first lesson in this unit is analyzing line plots. It is a short but intense unit. We will finish that unit on Thursday.
In science, we will continue our journey of understanding ecosystems. This week we’ll discuss why scientists argue and how we can construct good arguments about plants in ecosystems. We are also nearing conclusion of our coding project and many students have completed their final project. In SEL, we’re continuing to work through that unit on integrity.
Here’s a quick access screen shot of our SBAC testing days. Please note that we will be MAP testing on May 6 and May 8.

Thanks so much! We’re going to have an amazing week!
