Curriculum
This week, we worked on adding and subtracting decimals, using models and number lines to help students visualize the process. We focused on aligning decimal points correctly and used place value charts to strengthen their understanding. Number lines were particularly helpful in showing how decimals can be added and subtracted with precision. Students also practiced solving word problems that applied these skills in real-world contexts, such as money and measurements.
Upcoming Assessment
We will have a summative test on Topic 2 (Adding and Subtracting Decimals) on Wednesday, October 9. Please ensure your child is reviewing their notes and practice problems to be well-prepared.
