Celebrations
I am so pleased with the result of our SEL lesson on Friday. We saw students invest in seeing and sharing the positive things their classmates do. It has been wonderful to witness their enthusiasm for celebrating each other’s achievements.
Curriculum
I am currently revisiting the skill of regrouping when subtracting in small group, as I know many students have not yet fully mastered this concept. If you would like some additional practice materials for your child to work on at home, please feel free to reach out, and I’ll be happy to provide them.
In the coming week, we will be focusing on multiplying 3-digit by 2-digit numbers, as well as 4-digit by 2-digit numbers. We will also explore multiplying larger whole numbers with zeros. A video that will help with that process is here: https://youtu.be/zfYG9lzMmUo
In our Computer Science lessons, students have been developing sequential algorithms to guide a squirrel character from one side of a maze to the acorn at the other side. This hands-on activity has been a great way for them to apply their problem-solving skills.
We are grateful for your ongoing support in your child’s education. Your involvement and dedication make a significant difference in their success. I look forward to our continued collaboration and to seeing the amazing things our students will accomplish in the weeks ahead.
