Curriculum
Welcome back! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable spring break. We are excited to dive back into learning and have a busy week ahead. Please take a moment to review the important updates and reminders below.
Monday, March 24th
- SBAC Preparation Assembly 3/24: We will kick off the week with an assembly focused on helping students feel confident and prepared for the upcoming SBAC assessments.
- Ecosystems Unit Begins: Our next science unit will explore ecosystems, focusing on the relationships between organisms and their environments. Students will engage in hands-on activities and collaborative discussions.
- Combined Volume of Rectangular Prisms: In math, we will continue applying our understanding of volume to solve problems involving composite rectangular prisms. Students will practice decomposing shapes and calculating total volume. Students will achieve mastery of this unit when they are able to complete problems similar to the ones in this video.
Assessments and Deadlines
- Volume Assessment : On Friday, March 29th, students will complete their assessment on volume, including composite volume of a rectangular prism
Looking Ahead As we move closer to SBAC testing, we will integrate test-taking strategies and practice questions into our daily routines. Please encourage your student to get plenty of rest and reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
