Welcome

Welcome to my 5th grade webpage.  My name is Ms. Boelter and I am honored to be your child’s 5th Grade teacher. I decided to make a career change when my youngest son graduated high school and started working toward my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education which I obtained with honors. I previously taught 3rd and 5th grade at Stuckey Elementary, and this will be my second year at Ober as a 5th grade math and science teacher.  Thank you for the privilege of trusting me with your child’s education.

I am originally from Minnesota (go Vikings!), but have lived in the Las Vegas Valley for most of my adult life.  I am married, and I have one dog and one cat. I love comic books, gaming, both board and video (favorite games are Dice Throne, Red Dragon Inn;  and The Last of Us Pt 2 and Hearthstone), and reading in general.

I have high expectations for all of my students and will attempt to reach those goals through nurturing your child’s innate love of learning.  I will value your child’s ideas, thoughts, and actions. Each student comes with unique talents and strengths, and I can’t wait for your child to share them with their classmates and with me.  I have a strong background in technology and will work to bring the most current technological concepts into the classroom and implement them in my teaching curriculum.
